INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS

Individual sessions is a process between a therapist or coach and an individual. Some examples of goals can be to inspire change or improve quality of life. People may seek help for a variety of reasons. It is not always easy to face these reasons alone.

This process can aid you in overcoming obstacles to your well-being. It can increase positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem.  You can provide you with skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. You may find that you enjoy the journey of becoming more self-aware. Sanctuary Integrative Center, LLC would be honored to join you on your journey.

RELATIONSHIP COUNSELING

Relationship counseling / coaching is provided to all couples, whether married, separated, living together, or engaged. Many couples often turn to help when they are unable to work through conflicts on their own. Sessions are designed to identify problems and patterns, improve communication, and work together to create common goals as well as redefine responsibilities in the relationship. This process involves rebuilding the foundation of the relationship by communicating and understanding needs and building trust. Many couples engage in blaming, name calling, defensive behaviors, and other negative patterns. Working with a professional coach often provides a safe space for partners to feel validated and work on effective problem solving.

CHILD, TEENS, and FAMILY

Children and teens are constantly in a state of growth and forward movement. Our providers look to develop a client's sense of self, improve their ability to communicate, encourage healthy and supportive relationships, and create emotional resilience. Child and adolescent sessions includes goal directed and solution focused approaches to positive change as well as encouraging lifelong learning about themselves and others. Family sessions will focus on the family as a system, communication patterns, and family specific dynamics. The goals are to reduce conflict and improve communication. We will help the family view problems as patterns, provide feedback, and offer advice on ways to change the patterns. Family sessions aim to identify the issues as a part of the whole system instead of an individual in the family.

What our customers are saying

"I've always struggled with self-worth/-esteem/-confidence issues that led to a lot of anxiety, stress, and frustration, among other things. I found myself in a situation with a relationship that left me in a very confused and hurt state. Suffice it to say, it ended up being with an incredibly toxic person, and if I hadn't decided to meet with Melissa at Sanctuary Integrative Center (SIC) before shit hit the fan (I could tell things were starting to head in that direction, and knew I needed help getting my anxiety under control), I'm not sure what would have happened, but I know for sure it would not have been good.

Melissa helped me see things from an outside perspective and validate what I was feeling. She helped me identify emotions and what to do with them, to love myself for me instead of relying on someone else for validation. Perhaps most importantly, to take a step back and breathe. She is an incredibly kind person, and I am so thankful for the help she provided to me.

I would highly recommend anyone who has trouble with the issues I outlined in the beginning and/or has issues keeping their anxiety in check to reach out to her and give SIC a shot. Absolute worst case, you'll be in the same spot (I think that's so unlikely it's totally moot). Best case, you'll find yourself feeling better about yourself and life than ever. I think you'll be happily surprised." D.K. 2021-2022

When I first started therapy, I felt a little nervous and anxious just to be there and start the process of working through everything.  After the first few visits though I would land up feeling way more comfortable and less anxious to actually go to my appointments.  It's been almost half of a year going and I have little to no anxiety, and I am feeling a million times better, even if I still have some anxiety now, I have the tools and knowledge to get myself through it pretty easily. I'm all around super thankful for it and everything it's done to help not only with my anxiety but with how I can help myself when I am anxious. "   J.D. 2021-curently

"A year and a half ago, my life was practically a Greek tragedy. I was homeless, broke, alone, terrified, preyed on, unfairly judged, insecure, devastated and worst of all my voice had been silenced. I was in a new town and hadn’t had a therapist who’d come close to caring in over a decade, but I reluctantly decided to take a chance with Sanctuary Therapy in October of 2020.

Was it worth my while? A few weeks ago, I got my key to a very nice two-bedroom apartment in Quakertown as I had been dreaming of for months. This is the first place of my own I’ve had in over a decade. I just financed my first car in years recently. The Greek Tragedy I mentioned? I have every confidence that will be in the rear-view mirror very soon. I simply do not have room to tell you everything I have because of these amazing people. They are there for me at all hours. They have given me the ability to have hope. They have renewed my faith that there really IS someone out there if I need help. They have given me a voice. They have given me my life back.

How fitting a name for this comforting shelter. They have truly given me Sanctuary.

There simply is no better." S.S    2020-currently

"I have been going to Melissa for a few months. She is amazing. From helping me navigate transitions in life to anxiety and depression, I feel comfortable talking to her. I have noticed a change in the last few months. Always flexible with scheduling and willing to be there." H.J. 2022-currently
